I have a Physics Professor named Sasha. He's from India and he says that his name is pronounced "Sa-she," not Sa-sha.

I've heard it as a male and a female name, but if I were to hear the name Sasha, I'd bet it was a female.

Sasha is a guy's name. Usually Russian.

Kasa, on the other hand, is a girl's name; pronounced the same way as Sasha, but with a k. Usually Polish?

Sasha is the defualt nickname for Alexander. (In russia)

Like Bob from Robert, etc.

But so many names are unisex now. Ashley is supposed to be a guys' name too.

It's funny you should mention that. I just watched Cube 2: Hypercube, and it has a (female) character named Sasha, which we find out is a nickname for Alexander.

Edit: or it could be Alexandra now that I think about it.
