POLL: Rush Limbaugh....must listen or must change station?

He's so full of sh8, it brings to mind a turnaround on the title of a country song, Don't It Make Your Blue Eyes Brown?.
I think Rush is ok. I don't agree with all of what he says but who would anyways. I actually started listening to Bill O'Reilly latey,he's alright. It's just talk radio man,thats all.
I rarely catch his radio show flipping through stations (especially since it runs mostly on AM), but occasionally I listen just so I can have a good laugh.

Like it or not, Al Franken is a wit. Rush Limbaugh is a dimwit. The vast difference in their respective salaries has nothing to do with their relative talent, and everything to do with the appetites of the American public. If I (and Al) am out of touch with the mainstream, so be it.

I have listened to his show on at least fifteen - twenty occasions, though life is too short to read his books (there are literally millions of wonderful books to read - why would I spend time on that halfwit?). I think I am competent to judge his overall performance, and I am not impressed. As near as I can tell, he is a political agent provocateur with nothing truly original to say. I do not know what you mean by "conference caller" (something you added in an edit) - can you clarify? Is this intended as a criticism of me, and other Rush critics?

I don't think so. I think he's a cunning demagogue that panders to his audience well. He has this huge ego too. Very annoying.
But he does provide a forum for opinions that don't get any air time otherwise. What would be fun is if there was a far left talk radio host also. We could have a little talk radio war!

I use to listen to him a lot during the Gulf War era but when Clinton was elected he started to sound like the rest of the Republican whiners. I did find the Rubes that would call in from Bumfsck Midwest, DipSh!t Central Ca or Grease Spot Texas rather humorous though. I also had a friend that use to spout Limbaughisms when he'd get wired to the gills and that was annoying as hell.
One thing for certain is that Rush is a savvy businessman. He saw that there were a lot of people who were disillusioned with their lives living in Trailer Parks and used that disillusionment to make himself rich by blaming every thing that is wrong with society on the Democrats while totally ignoring the fact that the Republicans were no better. The reality is that he is just a Parlor Show that is on its decline.

SOS every show. He only interviews callers who agree with him . Although I don't like him , I must give him credit for herding all those sheep who listen to him every day and getting the big $ from advertisers . Anyone ever listen to Neal Boortz of of Atlanta - www.Boortz.com ?
