Republicans earlier seeing the writing on the wall granted themselves a new power to be able to remove a prosecutor for whatever violation they deem appropriate.

New power granted to themselves.

Republicans already tried to rig the grand jury but that failed.

Now Republicans have announced that with their new power, the beginning of the process that includes the removal of Fani Willis.
A Republican state senator in Georgia has moved to impeach the Fulton county district attorney, Fani Willis.

Colton Moore wrote a letter to Governor Brian Kemp in which he called for an emergency review of Willis’s actions.

“We, the undersigned … hereby certify to you … that in our opinion an emergency exists in the affairs of the state, requiring a special session to be convened … for all purposes, to include, without limitation, the review and response to the actions of Fani Willis,” Moore wrote.

“America is under attack. I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors politically TARGET political opponents,” he added. In a statement reported by the rightwing media outlet Breitbart, Moore said: “We must strip all funding and, if appropriate, impeach Fani Willis.”

The writing is on the wall for Georgia Republicans. A few more years and Atlanta/Georgia Metros will turn the state purple-blue.

Gotta fascism while the fascism is still good.

Meanwhile down south here in FL we've gone from purple-blue (Obama twice) to angry insane red. Probably due to draining other states of their Fox-watching boomer retirees, or too much covid brain who knows.

Well... I guess it is what it is.
This will leave our only hopes against Trump as being the classified documents thing, and that other indictment. Hell, I can't even remember what that other indictment was? Oh I remember, the hush money whore thing. Is that even still a thing ????

If we democrats aren't entertaining at least a hint of possibility that Trump could still be re-elected in 2024, well... we should be definitely entertaining that possibility. I mean, what is our plan B? You're plan B?
Maybe riots? Maybe democrat insurrections? Maybe fleeing to Canada or France? Or maybe just checking ourselves into the looney ward. America will become one big massive loony ward. Existing in a looney ward surrounded by electric fence and armed guards is preferable to the other looney ward options, the general population.

Glenn Kirschner (former prosecutor) says Trump and his team don't have a leg to stand on trying to have Fani Willis removed from the case. It's just more fuckery and delaying. Shocker.
