[POLL] Refill Ink Cartridges?

What does everyon think of refilled ink cartridges? Are they better, same, or worse than manufacturer authentc ink cartridges?

The point is refilled cartridges can be had for much cheaper on eBay and other online places. So considering that the amoutn of ink is the same is there any difference at all?

They are worse than the manufacturer ink for one. And for two, many manufacturers will void your warranty if you use ink other than their own because they can't be held responsible for any problems you might ahve with the printer onc eyou put foreign ink into it.

Just look online and you can get brand name ink for decent prices. Way less than going to Best Buy or places like that.

Stay AWAY FROM 'Em!! This is how I totally tanked my 1st Photo Jet printer. It was a Epson (can't remember the model name) I bought back in 98 and after a few months or so I started buying 'replacement cartridges.' I didn't have to refill the old, used Epson cartridges I just used whatever I could find on the cheap. And within about 3 or 4 months of installing the knock-off cartridge, my pages that I would print would start to streak ink vertically, or often wouldn't even print a certain color.

Well now I have a Canon S800 for about two years and I only buy the official Canon cartridges. I learned the hard way hastening the death of my 1st printer. 'MAYBE' there are certain printers that could take re-filling with syringe like kits, but I wouldn't go near anything like that to be on the safe side.

Just my $0.03

I would buy the real deal. Not sure how these replacements are, but I can vouch for the fact that the at-home refill kits are not only poorer quality, but may buggar your printer up. My Canon S330 cartridges are about $6/piece, which is a big reason I bought it.

considering how cheap printers are, and how expensive ink is, I'd say refilling is the way to go, if you print a lot. Otherwise, stick w/ the real stuff.
