This poll is for people who have used both, since all my research has turned up about a 50/50 ratio for people saying one or the other is the best gaming mouse on the market depending on which they happen to own.

IMO the G9 is a distant 2nd in a list of laser mice I've owned. The best laser mouse (IMO), the Lachesis, I feel I cannot recommend simply because the % of negative reports against it is too high at the moment (ie Razer still has some kinks to iron out). Turns out I'm a little lucky for getting a well behaved one. Even so, there are only a few minor reasons I continue to use my Lachesis over my DeathAdder, and I believe that most users would be better off saving the money if not prefer the DA outright (my grip style doesn't necessarily favor either mouse, whereas most people prefer the DA).

I consistently recommend the DeathAdder simply because it is has the best performance, is designed for the majority, and has now had the time it needs to develop and mature. Now there are other scenarios that would end up with an alternate recommendation, but I find it hard to recommend anything else without knowing more specifics.

I used to like the Logitech line up of mice, until I found Razer's new-ish sensor that is in the Diamondback3g and the DeathAdder. I voted DeathAdder.

I've used those and the Diamondback, Diamondback 3G, Krait, Copperhead, and Lachesis, from all of those though I like the Lachesis best

I got a bad taste from Razer's tech support. If tech support means anything to you, then ditch Razer. They'll do anything they can to pass the buck.

Deathadder is way more comfortable and easier to use, but the lachesis has on the fly dpi changing without having to have any special drivers installed, which the deathadder needs

I don't get the on the fly adjustment thing. I have NEVER used it on any mice I have. When I play games I keep it at one sensitivity and if I was to change it up it would be way too sensitive so what's the purpose of it?

I like the side thumb buttons on the Death Adder way better than the ones on the G9. I find that the death adder is a bit big for my hand though.

For real though comparing these two mice is like comparing Friday's to Chilies. They both do the same thing, have similar features, u you just have to pick which fits you best / you think looks the coolest.

Haven't used the G9, but coming from MX510 > G7 > Deathadder, the DA has the most natural grip of the 3 for me. Im happy with it though it IS a little on the lightside (even compared with the 510 which was used daily). I've heard great things about the G9 but haven't had the opportunity to try it. Deathadder is more than adequate so I'll be keeping it.

I haven't used both so I won't vote, but I got the Deathadder a couple of weeks ago and it's awesome. It's size and shape is very similar to my previous mouse, so I already knew I would feel familiar with it. It looks and performs great, the rubberized thingy also feels very nice.

My only complaint is that the glowing logo heats up the mouse, so I just turned it off after staring at it for a few minutes (remember to turn it back on when you have friends visiting!). And I still need to get a mousepad (currently using it directly on desk).. the Razer ones are too big for me though, I'm currently thinking of Ideazon or func.

But back to G9 vs. DA. From what I've seen in videos and photos, the G9 would be way too small for me, even with the wide cover. I don't have big hands either, I think it's just a matter of grip, so it would be good to compare the size of the mouse to your current one, so you could guess how it would feel.

Performance-wise, I guess they would be quite similar.
