I only tried the rub-on version.

It's PITA to apply and it's just AMAZING after you apply it for a while, then when it starts wearing off, the wiper blades starts chattering. You have to reapply it or strip it off completely and replace the blades.

I used to use the wax on wax off version. Now I use the rain-X that you put in your wiper fluid tank. That works just as good.

I have never used it on cars but we use it all the time on our boats windshield and it works great. When you are in nasty seas and the water is breaking over the bow this is a god send.

It owns. I use Castrol's version of it since you just spray and wipe. There's no need to go over with a sprinkling of water like Rain-X. It may not last as long, but it's a lot easier to apply, so I don't mind it so much.
