Poll: Question about paying off credit cards

I have a couple credit cards that are maxed out that I can pay off in 1 shot.

Which would be better to improve my credit rating

1. Paying them off all at once
2. Paying them off over a period of time

Getting them below 50% of their limit would be great for your credit score. Having charge/credit cards or revolving credit accounts at or near their limit really hurts your score.

Paying them off all at once will be good for your pocketbook too. You'll save interest.

pay them off and get rid of the accounts you do not need. having available credit hurts your score.

Having $0 debt, you can't get any better than that.

Pay them all off would be best. Then get rid of those that you don't need.

Why wouldnt you pay them all off at once? Who wants to pay interest if you dont have to, and if you NEED to spend the money just charge it back on your credit card(s)

For some reason some people dont have the balls to pay off a credit card balance even though they can.... I dont get it

Credit card loans are Add-on type loans, and the worst possible loan type.

Yes it's been said, but it never hurts to hear it again 😀

PAY THEM OFF 😀

And then cut up one

In my experience, people who do not pay off their CC debt all at once when they have the chance, never end up paying them off at all.
