I just tossed all my running shoes into the washer.

I've been thinking about that. But am afraid it will jack them up.
I guess I need new shoes if I want them clean.

I wash my shoes quite regularly... about once every couple of months. They don't last long, but i'll rather have clean shoes and replace them every year than stinky shoes (i have 3 pairs at any one time).

I just toss them in with the socks as well... i figure the socks acts like a cushion for the washer... and to dry them, i just leave them upside down a heat vent.

It's much better for the shoes to just take a toothbrush to them.

Well i wash them not to get rid of the dirt... because they don't get dirty, i only wear them to the gym... but to get rid of the smell.
