do you know how often a child needs to eat? every few hours. you sometimes do not have time to get home.

Believe it or not... I used to live in Saudi Arabia and most of the hospitals are strewn with women breast feeding in public (as discreetly as possible).

Im actually suprised that the manager/owner of a business would take the chance of getting on the wrong side of this argument, the publicity can't be good. As a physician and father of 3, I can say that the argument about doing it somewhere else just doesn't work. When the child cries, most lactating mothers start to let down milk imediately, and the only thing to do is find a place to sit and feed. I also agree with one of the prior post that we americans need to get away from our puritan past and accept nudity as natural as long as it isn't public sex. I find it much easier to ignore a woman breast feeding than a couple practically dry humping eachother.

Having three children all of whom breastfed 'til three (YES THREE) I say yes. Public breastfeeding should legally be allowed anywhere people are allowed to eat. Anyone disgusted or bothered by it has social and sexual hangups they should probably be working out with a therapist.

If your need not to be disgusted outweighs an infant's need to eat in the most physically and mentally healthful manner possible you have issues.
