High end brothels do not legally exist in Vegas (or Reno).

You need to get out of the populated areas into the back-desert areas.

Hasn't most everyone engaged in prostitution? After all, if somebody pays for dinner, drinks, movie and then takes the other person home...

Then expand that to marriage itself.

I think it should be decriminalized. Hopefully this will help out the street walkers, making it safer for them.

if there was a place for these women to go, someplace safe, then I think we would see less crack addicted whores as slaves to a brutal pimp.

I have no moral objection to prostitution. I think it is a victimless crime and should be legal.

I've never paid for sex though...not directly anyway. ;)

what's the difference between prostitution and most relationships you'll have with females in America?

"what is the main factor preventing you from seeking services?"

Ever left the suburbas and came to the city? I live one block off Colfax so I see them all the time,

There is a reason why attractive hookers never get any business, EVERYONE knows they are COPS. Real hookers are crack addict, no bath urine smelling nastyness.

my experience is from the past 4-5 years so I'd say it's pretty current. if you don't think that many times it is pretty much a material goods in exchange for sexual goods you are fooling yourself.

Where's the "Just don't care for hookers" option under the "main factor preventing you from seeking services" question?

That's an understatement. We're talking about HoP here. All the dates he's ever had have probably been 8 hour Bible study sessions, followed by an evening of romantic praying.

My wife's cousin was a high dollar prostitute in Vegas. She worked the casinos and made pretty good money, for her pimp. She was found dead off the side of the highway in the desert. Nobody knows how she died or who killed her. We can only assume she was killed by a john or her pimp.

A girl really needs $40, a guy really needs a squib job. Sounds like a match made in heaven to me.

I don't see the problem with it. The governments that don't allow it are missing out on a good source of revenue.
Lets face it, there are some men and women who are just totally lacking in the skills to "mate" with a member of the opposite sex and aren't willing to learn.
These people and other people for whatever reason choose to pay for sex. It's their money to do what they want with it.
If it was legalized like it is in parts of Nevada, most likely the prostitutes would have to meet certain health standards and would probably be more likely to be disease free. The government would be getting a tax cut of the revenue, trafficing of sex worker slaves would be stopped or at least greatly reduced, and patrons could enjoy themselves without fear of being arrested.

Right now the laws against it are ridiculous. Even if I wasn't married I would never engage in the services of a prostitute. Even if I wanted to brave the risks of STDs from them I'd still have to deal with the law. Far as I understand it if you are caught in New York not only do you get arrested and have the crime on your record, they also inform your employer. Don't know if they inform other people or/and put you on the sex offender list too.

The moral situation over it is a double-edged sword for me...I guess you have to do what you have to do to feed yourself and your kids, and if that's the path you choose...well, there's certainly a customer base. On the other hand, if a girl is being forced into it or roughed up for a cut of her money (pimps), I think it's wrong.

Never paid for services...have considered an escort service from time to time, just to have some company to go somewhere >.< Timidness and disease are equal factors in keeping me from doing so, alongside cost...but if I wasn't so shy, the diseases would still be a concern, hehe.
