I was listening to the News.com interview with Anand Lal Shimpi. I always thought that you pronounced his first name "aww-nand tech". The radio guy was pronouncing it "a-nan tech"

I knew someone in my HS named Anand and he would pronounce it "aww nand". The spelling was the same.

How do you pronounce Anandtech?
 
I say anan tech but the guy on the radio sounded like an idiot. no, the announcer, not Anand 😛
 
Yeah, what Slacker said. There is a thread here in off topic where someone made reference to the radio announcer pronouncing it incorrectly and Anand promptly replied that he was correct.

There was also a thread further back where a whole bunch of members recorded their pronunciations of his name. A mod even recorded one.
