It does not matter who the president is so I will not vote. I don't complain and I dont care. There is too much corruption and greed in politics. The government, as it is set up now, does not work and should be overthrown :Q

Red,

I always knew you were going to vote for Bush. Now, as for the long list of insults you threw at anyone who was going to vote for Bush, I just figure they were all typos. :D;)

Those other guys sure were tough on you, Id vote for you so now you know exactly how crazy I am.

I'm for Bush the same reason Russ is, I'm very against many of Gore's ideas. So let me ask you third party people why you feel like voting 3rd party is honestly going to matter? You know those candidates don't stand a chance so wouldn't it be better to just pick the better candidate from the bit two?

But Red,

I knew you were going to vote for Bush when you posted this.

(Speaking of Jesus in a religious link)

<<He is truly a Prophet. He looked 2000 years into the future and predicted George Bushes Adminstration. I'm impressed>>

Well, Folks, there it is. Red has just told you who is going to be elected and why. Who can argue with that Prophet?

Well, Red, maybe he was talking about and predidcting the Texas Administration.

I love out of context quotes.

Why vote for steak if it'll never win? ;)
Just to make a statement?

If Nader gets 20% of the votes, it would be surprising, but it still wouldn't make him president.

A vote for Nader is a political statement, but in terms of determining the country's next president, its a wasted vote.

You see Soybomb, some people are getting sick of the same 'ol two-party system, and tired of compromising their right to vote for the lesser of two liars, idiots, evils, whatever. Its people like YOU who waste their vote on lying political garbage, who promises, more promises, then makes excuses, more excuses, and blames the other party for not getting a thing done.

It's because people think like you that this country continues it's downhill slide. Why would Dems or Reps want to change anything as long as people are afraid to "waste a vote" on a third party.

Both the major parties would prefer by far to have the other major party win a seat rather than see that seat go to a third party. Because as long as one of the two major parties holds a position, the other knows that there's at least a 50/50 chance of getting that position back in the next election. Once a position is given to a 3rd party candidate, it's anybody's game from there on out.

Yes...our candidates must be a mouth piece for us.

Liberals tend to favor an overlord or dictator to tell them what to do.

<< Hey if you want to eat Sh!t just so you can say you picked the winner then be my guest. >>

Actually, you don't have to eat it, only to deal with it for four years. :p

Also, if you go and vote for an independent ( "steak" ), you'll end up dealing with the same sh!t for four years! :|
Just because you vote for the steak doesn't mean you'll get it.

I agree that our political system, where Democrats and Republicans have all the power, sucks. It is completely corrupt, and hopefully through time we can "fix" it. But that time is not now... a Democrat or a Republican will win this election.

So, to be a realist, A VOTE FOR NADER WILL NOT LEAD TO HIM BECOMING PRESIDENT. Plain and simple. I am not saying that you shouldn't vote for Nader, or that you should vote for anyone at all. I am simply saying that a vote for any party besides democratic or republican is a wasted one, because either a democrat or republican WILL be our next president.

So, if you want to decide whether its Gore or Bush (And as I have said, it will be one of them), go and vote for one of them. If you go and vote for someone else, you really are doing nothing but playing with the buttons in the voting booth; your selection will not be our next president.

Finally, it really doesn't matter what anyone here or anyone else says, the most important thing is that you actually GET OUT AND VOTE.

Even if you write yourself in, you are at least exercising your right to vote in our representative democracy.

Oh yeah, BobberFett, let's try to keep this discussion one about the election and NOT about people other than candidates:

<< TaylorD

It's because people think like you that this country continues it's downhill slide.
>>

To show the opposite of this statement, its dreamers like you that vote for candidates that have no chance of gaining office. In doing so, your vote doesn't truly count, so you eschew any blame for the condition of this country, and open the doors for yourself to blame other voters.

BTW, it cant be people like me that lead to this country's downhill slide... This will be my first time voting. :p

And what do you mean by downhill slide? I hope that you are not referring to our economy stabilizing from the overinflated prices of last year.
