I thought it was too close to call. Both had good speaking skills, but went off-topic (of the questions) a lot.

I think Edwards got his b0x0rs r0x0red. Anyone notice how Cheney didn't thank Edwards in his closing speech?

Yeah he just prepped for this by gunning through a bunch of bush-sucks websites.

Edwards would have made Bush look brilliant tonight. I'm ashamed to have this guy be from my state.

I thought it was almost a tie, but I did enjoy the jabs Cheney took at Edwards, always made Edwards go back to previous questions, so slight victory to Cheney.

I love the debates when the candidates really go at each other, i really loved the the first Bush-Gore debate and I hope there isnt a backlash to this debate that would make bush and kerry be ultra civil to each other like Cheney and Lieberman's debate in 2000.

u should modify the poll:

I am a republican and vote for cheney

I am a democrat and vote for edward

I am a democrat and vote for cheney

etc etc

now the data is too biased

why? who cares if you are a democrat or a republican? the question is who won the debate.

because people who are republican or democrat are more lieky to vote fore the candidate of their party even if they lost...

it would be interesting to see how many democrats think cheney won, and republicans who thought edwards won.

I voted tie. It wasn't a BAD debate, but I just don't feel either adequately backed up alot of their points.

Most of what I heard was "point, point, counter-point, counter-counter-point, point"...just rifleling 'em off like nothing.

What I would have liked to hear was: "point, backup and even secondary backup for that point, counter-point, backup, etc...."

Maybe it's not feasible in a 90-minute debate....but I wasn't really satisfied with either candidate very much. But I digress as that's how it's been this entire election campaign.
