I call it minigolf, but when I was a kid, I called it putt-putt, because the only place in town was a Putt-Putt.

putt putt all the way....around here there aren't any real touristy areas so something thats not part of a chain probably wouldn't be able to startup and make it....

I call it Putt-Putt most of the time.

It's part of the Kleenex / Xerox / Band-Aid / Rollerblade syndrome of relating to a general product by the name of one of the products.

"Pardon me sir, I just cut my finger, do you have any sterile, adhesive bandages?"

Most people, at least teenagers, do not even know Putt-Putt is a company (at least in Cleveland).

Absolutely nothing. Many people call it Putt-Putt because that was a popular chain of miniature golf places a couple decades ago.
