I have never SEEN one, let alone click on one. I have always DUNned free internet services. There slow enough as it is, I dont want some yucky banner ad hogging that flimfy bandwidth. Oh, I also filter ads and popups from all my web pages as well.

Banner advertising is a flawed revenue system. The person who comes up with a replacement will be very well off.

Porn sites have an alternative revenue system. You gotta pay to play. It appears that the bigger ones are quite well off.

I clicked on a banner... on accident... Then I figured out how to rig the little banner thing so it wouldn't be on my screen

i clicked on a banner ad for a credit card offer here last year, the owner here gets like $20-50 per person that signs up for a credit card and gets approval from these ads. It was something i wanted, and the benefits of clicking through here was that i was giving back a donation to the owners of this site for providing a cool ass forum.
