I recently ordered an IWILL KK266-R mobo after reading the great review here at Anandtech and other sites. I have heard about the "8.5 multiplier lock" problem and have gone to overclockers.com and I-WILL's sites to "get the scoop".

I guess I "jumped on the bandwagon" too soon.

So my question is to you KK266 owners..... well vote in the poll and you'll see.

Thanks for your help!!!

Have you heard about the recall? (oops-I just re-read your message and see that you have:eek:)Overclockers.com is where I read about it. Iwill has established that it's a hardware problem and come up with a fix. If you get one of the defective boards, they've set up a special RMA prodedure.
Good Luck, BTW

So would it be safe to buy a new one of the mobos right now? They should all be fixed, right. I am looking at the KK266-R from Newegg for $135 shipped. It says "Rev. 1.2 No Bug Version."

Doh, it's $150 now, should've bought last night.

Not all revision 1.2 have the buggy 8.5 multiplier. This was clearly stated on IWill's homepage.
