just wanted to know; ) if you don't want to show your identity , just vote in a poll ;) ... and if you still live in russia , then where ? ... and if not , then where did you live in Russia , and where do you live now ? : )

I , myself, from St. Petersburg , and now live in Cleveland, OH

P.s. as Russia I consider all parts of USSR :)

My girlfriend Natalia who lives just a few doors down is from Russia. The only Russian words/phrases I know are: da, niet, ya tibia leeublu (I probably just slaughtered that, sorry! :Q), and babushka.

I'm not Russian, but I live in an area(Boundary/Kootenay in BC, Canada) famous for the pre-Soviet Russian immigrants, the Doukabors(sp...I think there's an H in there somewhere  ). Many Russian NHL players have been known to visit the area and in fact 1 or 2 have summer homes near here. Borscht can be found in most restaurants and it's good Borscht too. Some restaurants offer a plethora of Russian foods, although the food's names are unbeknownst to me.

On a related note, I have to thank the Russians(Soviets) for my dad's immigration to Canada. He escaped Hungary during the Hungarian Revolution of 56.

Your poll doesnt makes sense. You will get 100% regardless the num of ppl voted coz you have only one option.

I am from Khimki (Moscow suburb). I also lived in Yaroslavl (4 hrs north of Moscow) for a couple years. I now work in Sunnyvale, CA and live in nearby Saratoga.

Oh, and what is this American obsession with the word "babushka" (grandma)???? Does it just sound cool, or am I missing something here?
