I'm debating this one, and want more feedback than I and my girlfriend can provide. I'm creating a website for my hike (as some of you have probably already seen) and would like a little feedback about which one looks better...

#1 - Number One
#2 - Number Two
#3 - Old Colors, New Design

#2. Initially I thought #1, but IMHO #2 looks more professional, or something like that.

#2, but I'm not a big fan of the maroon color sceme, and the &quot;Counter by <whoever>&quot; doens't look to professional. But other than that it looks really good. :)

My thoughts are exactly with Vipers. They both look nice tho.

I have to go with #1. That maroon and weird shape in the corner of #2 doesn't appeal to me.

..a vote for #2 ...looks more professional, in my opinion...the first one looks like a cheesy picture on top of a chessy table :)

Number 2, since I like the faded pics on the top and the moroon color... BTW I also thought it was the which girl is hotter threads..lol

#1. I like the raised graphics, also the directory links (maybe should be buttons). Even without the directory, I like the graphics a little better on #1. Perhaps blending the background into the left hand pane would make it look even a little more composed.

Ok, I made some mods. I didn't like that thing in the upper-left corner so I replaced it with a simple curve. The grey box is where the text will go, as soon as I figure out how I want to do that.

Suggestions for fonts that would work well?

I think I like #2 better...it's simpler, and tighter, I think.

Other suggestions?

Ok, ok, with the maroon. Other color suggestions? None of this grey/blue stuff, though - too many people already using it. I wanted the site to stand out, at least slightly. The maroon looks nice over on my end. :)

Gimme an example. Can't quite picture what you're talking about. I've got two people complaining about the color, and my girlfriend telling me that I should keep it. :)

C'mon boy...you are a husky! What's up with the Cougar colors? Yeah..yeah...no more maroon stuff, but I couldn't let you get away with it.

Let's see, I don't know what other color to use, and if you can't figure that out, then I say stick with #1.

Aight, I'm trying out the tan. Doing some photoshop work right now. We'll see how that looks.

So, if I got this right, layout for #2, but colors from #1.

Hmm. Maybe a combination isn't the best idea. But I'll defer to you guys.

The more help, the better. I need to have this as well-done as possible for when I'm presenting it to MountainZone.
