"A group of scientists in Russia in year 2000 held several meetings to discuss the inbound planet discovered from one of their largest observatories. This led to the infamous "2003 Problem" reuters news service wire Sept. 13th 2000. The top government officials called for a commission to study the problem which was said to expect to cause "A string of calamities" & "A masssive population shrinkage" They openly wondered whether Russia would still even exist as a country afterwards."

I voted for fake, but then before it finished I voted for "I don't care"
I think that shows how I feel better.

I have to vote for fake since if it's real the world will end in a year and a half.

<< isn't this something from and Ed Wood movie? or is that planet 10? >>

That was Plan 9 From Outer Space, silly.

Although, in the classic Loony Toons short "Duck Dodgers in the 24th and 1/2 Century" I believe he chased Marvin The Martian to Planet X.
Which is why this is obviously a farce.

LOL.

I almost believed it until I read about our second "dark" sun. You've got to be kidding me!

It's fake. I'm no expert but if this opjects takes 3600 years to orbit then I find it hard to believe that will only take 3 months to go inbetween pluto and earth. Also the only thing massive enough to make the planet move it's axis like that would be a Star or blackhole. And if the planets axis was moved that much, it would be pulled from its orbit around the sun. These people will probably ventually says that aliens will make themselves known to us and save us from destruction.

Actually, I think this article is BS, but not the dark sun bit. It's the premier hypothesis for the mechanism of periodic extinctions. Even has a name "Nemesis". It's postulated that Nemesis comes close enough on rare occasion to perturb the outermost cometary fields, causing them to move out of stable orbit, creating a massive influx of comets sunward. Unfortunately for the dinosaurs and others, we are also in that neighborhood.

I don't buy it, sounds like another hairbrained conspiracy theory to me. All the people that voted yes, do thing the world is ending next spring?

I don't think so. It was also said that when 2000 came along, the world as we know it would end as a result of a battle between heaven & hell.

But those articles on the evolution of man at Xfacts is very interesting...

HEHEHE...remember reading that book back in Jr, high...loved it;)

You should see the movie. It has pretty good special effects right up until the last scene. I thought everyone in that theater was going to die laughing when they stepped out of the spacecraft.

One more time around. Even if you don't comment, I'd appreciate it if you took the few seconds necessary to vote. Thanks...
