Poll: planar 17.4 lcd panel disappointing resolution; best direct digital video card please

got the planar from dell on sale and it looks awesome. only trouble is it isn't as sharp as the 21 inch crts at work; also not as sharp as my laptop display, so i'm assuming its my video card. its an agp 4x, but it is not direct digital dv-i. what's the best cheap dv-i card so i can get this baby up to speed? thanks.
