i don't care about the bed too much as long as it conforms to my body. right now i sleep on a pillow-top that i love, but before that i slept on a nice futon mattress and it was very comfortable as well. for pillows, i like firm and thin.

firm, when I sleep on really soft beds I have a bad headache when I wake up.

I have always like a firm mattress and a fairly firm pillow. My girlfriend has always like a very soft mattress and soft like pillows. Well, after sleeping in my bed a lot, she admits to liking the firm mattress.

The one bed we both really, really like is the tempurpedic type. That will definitely be a purchase for us at some point down the road.

I hate when I grab my wife's pillow. It's down filled and not much so it's like my head falls right through it and ends up on the mattress anyway. Not sure why she even uses a pillow...
