Poll: Phil Collins

Singer/songwriter/drummer from Genesis and solo career. I'm talking about his music work, NOT his acting.

If you've ever seen him in concert, he sings spot on

He was better 15-20 years ago, but that can be said about a lot of musicians.

While they seem to do the same types of music and they both were from Genesis, I don't think that is an accurate comparison. They are really very different in musical styles.

I'd say Phil is one of the better drummer/singers out there. As far as solo music he's done very well for himself. I like him better than Peter Gabriel as the singer of Genesis.

This is a matter of taste. I have never cared for his voice or his music. Actually a couple of his songs can make me ill if I hear them too often in a short period of time.

Phil's musical career was incredible all the way to "No Jacket Required" and "Invisible Touch". His later releases quickly went downhill though IMO.
