Poll: PCI512 vs Onboard AC97 w/Yamaha AP?

Just wondering if my PCI512 is truly an upgrade from my onboard sound? I bought the 512 for my old K6 system and I now use it never having enabled or even installed sound drivers for the Onboard AC97 w/Yamaha AP.

Anouther question is TAD connectors
I keep a Creative 56/V90 attached JIC and I currently dont have the TAD connetor connected. Either way I go Onboard or 512 both have a TAD in. So should be using this I dont have a headset on the modem sound just Cambridge 5 point(small ones)and a mic on the card.

I think you should go with the PCI512. The SB PCI 512 is based on the EMU10K1 (SBLive) chip....which should be far better than the onboard AC97+Yamaha AP.

oh yeah, go the pci 512, it at least dosn't use your processor to generate the wave. you should get some better fps with the 512
