POLL: Passwords...

Are most of your passwords for things the same or different?

I tend to have different passwords for most things. (gotta admit it gets quite confusing at times.)

I use a couple different ones.

They are either "password", "password1", or "password2" for all of my accounts. 🙂

😉

I use the same ones for generic things that I don't really care about, and a couple of different ones for more important things.

I use "tough" passwords for important stuff like online banking and my e-mail account, and the same weak password for useless logons like iFilm and Cnet. If someone hacks those passwords, I really don't care.

First thing I learned in computer security class is to not use the same password for everything. I think I have the same 3 passwords for all the sites I go to. 😱

My high security password is 15 numbers/letters.

Crack that, bitches! 😛

Soooo, if someone figures out your "high security" password, you're pretty much screwed on all your important stuff eh 😛

I seem to go through password phases. For example for one period in my life I will use one password for everything. Then move onto something else. Then whenever I need to remember a password I just have to remember what password I used during that time in my life.

I still remember one of my passwords that I haven't used in years (still do not use it, nor plan on using it especially after I've told people what it was) 🙂

good luck trying to guess or bruteforce something like that (took me a a good couple days to weeks to memorize it)

I almost alwaysuse different passwords, but I use a system that makes it easy for me to remember what they are for each site.

I use one password for secure stuff (email, website, AT forums, credit card, bank, etc.) and one for insecure stuff (spam mail account, etc.). The first one is much more secure than the second.

I use one of two passwords for anything on the internet (ie. message boards, online stores you know, anything that requires a login). For my computer I use different ones. It gets hectic.

I used to use different passwords. However, I started to forget them or got them confused, mostly 'cuz I hadn't accessed some accounts for a long time. So I had to change to use the same password. Actually, I usually use four passwords for different categories of accounts.

Now I have a password security program, so I store my passwords for different accounts there.

I have 640-bit encryption on all my files, especially the important stuff, if you know what I mean 😉
