POLL: Parenting Licenses?

I know they're a long way off at best, but do you think they're a good idea? This poll assumes something we don't yet have: reliable, reversible sterilization techniques for both sexes.

Keep in mind, most anyone reading this has an IQ over 100, and probably a quite sizeable chunk of us are over 125. People reading this post would likely not be affected.

Now i do think every time you have a child you should have to go to parenting classes while pregnant. but NO way should anyone tell me i can't have kids

You do realize that an IQ of 100 is the median score, so a couple of your suggestions rule out at least half of the populaiton from parenthood.:roll:

That being said, there are a lot of irresponsible parents out there, both rich and poor. I will never understand (at least I think so) the poor folks who keep having babies. A rubber is a lot cheaper than a kid, I always say.

i believe that everyone should be able to have kids untill something happens for example

you get in trouble with the law over serious offenses, rendered permanantly sterile
reversable sterility should be imposed on all those living off the government
all people with sub 60 IQ, permanently sterile
all people with severe inherited disorders, permanently sterile

While I think there are a lot of unfit parents out there, the government has no right to interfere in people's right to pro-create. Please dont bring up abortion as being an invasion into this right. the goverments allowing of abortion means you have the choice as all people should.

Parents based on IQ score and such? Hells no.

But we do need something where these mothers who collect welfare and don't do any work can keep pumping out babies cause they can't learn what a condom is or a birth control pill and then just collect even MORE welfare from the government.
