Poll: Panera's Bread or Bakers Square, Which Bakery/Restaruant do you prefer?

I believe Panera Bread is nationwide right?? and Bakers Square is basically only in the midwest.

anyway, i haven't been to a bakers square in 8 yrs, but if memory serves bakers square ROCKED. Panera bread is pretty good too.

Never had Bakers Square. Local Bakeries are always better than Panera. Panera operates off name/brand recognition. The food and bread isn't great. Panera also sports worthless teen employees.

panera bread has more of a Coffee house feel, Bakers Square more of a midwestern restaraunt feel, so they are hard to compare.

local bakeries are obviously good, but not always a good place to have a sit down meal.

Panera! Their cheese bagels = PWN PWN PWN PWN PWN.

They're the official bagel of my school's AP Comp Sci class. Although nowadays I think we spend more time eating bagels and fussing over cream cheese than we do coding, and then we also spend more time slowly wiggling out of the bonds of our system security than we do coding, but it's all good.

Actually, they only have 200 locations at the moment - but, are growing quite quickly.

Panera Bread is expanding quickly across America, currently operating 558 bakery-cafes in 35 states. Among these locations, 149 are company-owned and 409 are franchised.

I hope you realize those awards don't mean much. Hell, "Outback Steakhouse" won best Steakhouse here in Topeka, KS. "Applebees" Won best restaurant. Its all about who votes, in which case, OLD PEOPLE. They are the only ones that have nothing else to do but sit around and fill out these worthless cards and send them in to their local newspaper. Sorry, but showing those pointless awards mean nothing.

Panera is excellent food...I'm not sure if I've ever seen a Baker's Square. After checking their website, it seems Baker's Square is just Village Inn with a different name, so Panera wins.

i like Panera Bread. I haven't been to Baker's Square, so i can't compare.

Panera also has free WiFi (there's a coffee shop next door, so i get free wifi at the coffee shop as well )

I prefer bakers square but I never had Pandera's they don't have any in northern california. But my favorite of all would be cheesecake factory.

All I know, is when I want Cherry Strudel, I make a bee line for Panera's. I'm a cheap SOB, but I'll gladly pay their price for that stuff!
