POLL: pack rat

I recently helped a friend move, and noticed all kinds of stuff that will never be used; Or is in need of repair, but will never be repaired. A lot of this stuff deserved to be buried a long time ago, such as 8-track players and shovels with broken handles.

Do you know someone like this? Or ARE you someone like this? Why do folks do this?

my wife would vote for "live with a pack rat"

but i think i have improved a lot the past few years, since we have been moving alot , i got rid of a bunch of stuff

so i think i'm only a computer junk pack rat, most other types of stuff i stopped pack ratting and threw it all away

Same here. I also keep all of the boxes for stuff I buy, including games.

Heh funny you should say that. This guy's got so much crap that when he actually needs something, he cannot find it!

I too am a slob, but am not a pack rat -- just a scum bag. There's a difference !

I am the absolute worst pack rat. I still have old ISA IO and disk controller cards laying around among other absolutely worthless trash. I am even willing to bet if I dig through a few boxes I probably have some old Computer Shoppers around.
