Could I get some assistance from the members on a motherboard for a Pentium III, 1GHZ and will be using 256 MB's of Crucial PC133 RAM? I have used Epox boards in the past with a K-6 II 450 and a 1 GHZ Athlon and never had a problem. I just wanted to get some input from the very knowledgable people in the site and look forward to the input. Thanks and have a nice day....... One other thing, I am creating a poll to get your votes on your opinions for the best board if you would vote. Thanks :)

ASUS CUSL2/CUSL2-C/TUSL2/TUSL2-C.

Given that you are buying now, probably the TUSL2-C is the best choice as it allows an upgrade to the Tualatin processor.

Thank you for the fast reply and where do I click to rate you? I am new as to all these features such as rating and such. When you said buying now, I already have the processor but I will need some advice also as to a good cooling fan for a real good but. I am a senior at Texas A&M, Texarkana, on disability retirement and don't have a wealth of money right now. A friend of mine had me buy a Globe Win on one of my previous computers and good it at a good buy. Could you help me in that area also? Being that you are an editor, could you help me with identifying a fan I now have on a retail box fan & Athlon processor? I have emailed AMD and all I can get out of them is it could be a Tai Sol, a CoolerMaster, or some other brand that I don't remember. All it says on the fan is AMD with some numbers,40324555 and I would like to know what it is so I could find out some of the cooling properties of it. Any help you could be on that would be appreciated as well. Thanks Andy and you get a high rating out of me.......

To rate me, simply click on my profile icon (the 3rd icon from the left).

Given that you are on a budget, perhaps you may wish to consider the MSI 815E Pro board instead. It has similar features to the CUSL2 family of boards, and is usually a little cheaper. While it is not my first choice, the small price difference may be an issue to you.

Are you wanting an HSF for the Pentium III or for the Athlon?
