hey guys, i just got my new system up and running and i'm having some problems. here's my hardware:

asus a7v133 using the bios from 06/06/2001 (1005a)
athlon 1.2ghz athlon
ocz gladiator w/ a.s. ii (using generic 80x80x15 fan until my sanyo-denki 36.5 cfm quiet one comes in (i broke the stock one :\ ))
256mb infineon pc133 ram
diamond monster fusion (voodoo banshee - next to go :)
3com 3C450 10/100 nic
creative dsi 56k modem
10gig & 13gig maxtor 5400 diamondmax drives
creative infra52 52x cdrom
hp 9100 8x8x32 cd-rw
enermax 350w whisper series psu
running windows 2000 with service pack 2

now here is my problem. while i was waiting for my 1.2 to come in i was using my brothers duron 800 without problems (after upgrading my bios). well when my 1.2 came in the mail yesterday i couldn't wait to put it on so i strapped it in my ocz with the arctic silver ii thermal compound and booted it up. it originally set it to run at 900mhz (9x100) so i set it to run at 1200 (9x133). i booted into windows and a few minutes later it crashed on me (i don't remember the error atm). i wasn't sure if my case didn't have enough circulation or whatnot so i took the side off and this time it lasted a while longer but still crashed. now i don't think the temp of the cpu (measured with asus probe) got above 52 degrees C and i didn't think it should be crashing then. i changed the settings so it was running at 12x100 and had the same problem. i'm not sure which is better to have set higher so if someone could please shed some light on it i'd appreciate it. after this was happening i decided to cut it down to 8x100 so that it was running at the same speed the duron was. this was right before i went to bed, and when i woke up not 6 hours later i had a blue screen with physical memory dump sitting there waiting for me. i had remembered to set the asus probe software to log and when i checked it the last reading was at 49 degrees C.

now i am at a total loss as for what to do. if anyone could please give me some advice i'd be extremely greatful. thanks
