Poll: OT: Prime Peripherals Rebate....Ouch...

This for those of you who bought Prime Peripherals (sucks!?) prouct that has/had MIR and did not get it so far. I called TCA rebate center( tcarebates.com) for one of the rebates I did not receive and CSR told me that TCA Rebates DO NOT honour(honor!) Prime Peripherals rebates ANYMORE, customers will have to call 781-986-3960 for their rebate status.
The only reason I am posting this here is because most of the ATers bought Prime Peripherals items as a result of postin under "HOT DEALS". Mods can lock this thread if they find appropriate.:(

Unfortunately we had an overwhelming response to the offer. Our rebate house was unable to handle the situation so we had to take it from them and send it down to another fulfillment house who would be able to handle the entry. We have been told that all entries will be done by end of business on Monday. Please check with me next week or check our link @ www.forrebates.com for your info.

yea... prime periphere suck... coz i bougth 2 spindle cd with $10 rebate and it never come... try to contact them but no luck... and this was back to january...

Yeah, "John" is gonna personally respond. Bull$#!+. Got the same nice form letter. I've got $20 that says I'm not in the rebatesHQ database by COB today (Monday).

Maybe by Monday, 2012. ;-)

Man, I really hate rebates...but I still go for deals with them...am I normal?

I think some sort of class action suit needs to be set up against these
deadbeat companies.

They constantly Knowingly Lie to us:

#1 They lie about the status of our rebate.
#2 They claim that they were not ready for such a responsive rebate.
They really did know what the response would be like. It was not overwhelming. That is a lie. They knew that each item in stock would be bought and rebated. Officemax knew of it too. Thats why they had such big advertising and flyers for the product.

If they are going to offer such a deal, they have to be ready for it.

We should all return the product to officemax and demand our money back.

I tried this last week, and officemax said that they could only give me store credit for the amount. I think if we all get together and make a stand, we can force them to return our money. Officemax will then look to Prime Peripherals for compensation.

In Feburary, I purchased a 200 pack of CD-R's. They were supposed to come with a $45 rebate due in 8-10 weeks. Well, the 10 weeks was up over a week ago, and I still have not received the rebate.
I purchased this item for the rebate. I would not have purchased it otherwise. I never received the promised rebate. The rebate status has no knowledge of me and wont aknowlege any payment sent.
I wish to return this product for a FULL REFUND. I do not want store credit. If I dont get a full refund, I will no longer ever shop at officemax for my home or my company. I tried calling customer support to ask about this, and they said that I could only get store credit because it has been more than 30 days. This is rediculous. I do not have time to play these mickey mouse games. Officemax ADvertised the rebate and product. They knew what the response would be. They need to deal with it to keep face.

strange enough, I just got an e-mail saying that my rebate forms have been received, and I also got a tracking number, but the status has not been updated though, when I clicked on the link they gave me. I hope its gonna take a longgggggg time before we see our 45 bux.

if anybody has ANY type of prime rebate going, they should be gettin crunk

i didn't participate in this deal(didn't like prime, the manufacturer, or the smelly rebate), so i really can't say nothin (but i did)

Actually, I heard from from an insider at Prime Peripherals that the rebate processing company totally messed up this offer and several others and has actually closed up shop. Prime Peripherals is frantically trying to collect all of the rebate submissions, but most were destroyed by the procesing company. The only way that you will receive your rebate is to call the 1-877-783-3456 rebate info phone number, which is now being staffed by Prime Peripherials, and give them your name and address. (Yes, I know that some of you may see this as opportunity if you did not originally submit a rebate request for this offer).

I bought these CDRs at OM for $45, and I jst got an email today that gives me a tracking number for my rebate ($45). And, I have only had one bad CDR so far (it was at the top of the spindle and the metal stuff was bubled I think it was a scratch)
