And another point......

Most of us have a car for transportation but alot of us choose out cars for the prestige thing.
So lets say if I just had a normal car or a SUV or something, sure it looks good but I highly doubt it would get any attention.

I mean if I let my Civic on STOCK, I wouldn't get many compliments as I would dressing it up in some form or another.

Alot of you would say, "well, I couldn't care less what people think" but lets be honest here you wouldn't welcome total strangers telling you how nice your car is ???

i give compliments to rice also... i mean what else can i say to the guy. About a year ago i was at the post office and i saw this riced out eclipse (i had a turbo awd talon at the time... same car). It was an RS (ricer series), automatic with huge fart pipe, altezzas and park bench wing, with about 100 lb of fiberglass and chameleon paint. The kit was cracking around the hatch are.a He had 17s on with no camber kit ... you could see the rear wheels were tipped in by at least 5 degrees. Well the guy walked out and asked me if i liked it.
Well i was like yeah it looks hot man...what else was i supposed to tell him?

Anyway i guess the point of the story is rice wont really get you anywhere...unless your car is fast, youre wasting your money

oh getting rims isnt rice...unless theyre 20" and chrome... 😉

Uhh... newsflash: no one thinks your car looks good. Have you seen any posts here where someone actually complimented that steamy sh!t you call a car? 😉

Your car gets attention now because people look at it and say "WHAT THE FVCK IS THAT?" You've done NOTHING to improve your car. Large rims on a civic do nothing to improve handling, especially when they're cheap ones that weigh twice as much as the stock rims. The wing just creates drag. The tint just gets you a ticket.

People also give attention to cars like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc. They say "wow, thats a fine automobile. It's the product of some of the finest car engineers in the business." Unlike your behemoth, which is the finest work of a 32 year old McDonalds employee. 😛

Save the money you'd spend on all that tacky crap and put it in the bank. Eventually you'll be able to afford a car that attracts the right kind of attention.

No self respecting car enthusiast would do that to a car. Dumb ass kids like it because of the Fast and Furious. Look at the type of people who are complementing you - dumb asses.

 
don't get any of those. Stock SI rims are pretty nice already, nice enough that they get jacked alot. 🙁

Maybe try some gunmetal konig heliums. Light racing rims.

You're right, I get compliments mostly from younger kids......but I'm in that group that happens to like to semi-riced cars.
I'm talking about nice wheels, nice bodykits, moderate wing, etc....
Not overly grossed out cars with 10ft wings and stickers everywhere.

It doesn't bother me most people in here doesn't like it, its merely opinions....
