Poll: opinion on feedback. to neg or not to neg?

I found a PC Game for sale on the traders board. I PM'ed the seller and explained that I needed it for a birthday gift and asked how much more $$$ he wanted to ship priority. We agreed on the price and I immediately PayPal'ed the cash.

Priority mail usually takes 2-3 days, so yesterday, after 10 days, I PM'ed the seller to ask when he shipped. He did not reply. Today the game comes in the mail. Shipped MEDIA mail for $1.47 and put in a plain envelope (no bubble wrap or padded envelope) and the entire side of the box is crushed. I emailed the seller to let him know, and am awaiting a reply. I am not anticipating getting one, but I am trying to give he seller all opportunities here.

I am curious as to what feedback you would leave. The thing is that I am kinda new to trading here and my heatware and beerology is kinda low. All positive, but not that many. I have LOADS of Ebay feedback (340-0-0) but that doesn't seem to matter much here. I do worry about a retalitory neg from the seller. It is my intention to list a bunch of stuff on the traders forum and wonder if it will hurt me much if he negs me for negging him. That is of course if he chooses to ignore my email. It is not about the money. We are talking about $11.00 ..but it is the principal...

Suggestions on what you guys would do...??...
 
If you paid for Priority, and got Media ... ten days later ... not only would I say that's deserving of a negative, but a possible addition to a DNT list.

Yes, I am pissed, he knew it was for a birthday and i had a deadline. And the crappy envelope he put the game in.. well the whole side of the box is crushed. I cannot give it as a present now.

I would like to neg him to warn other buyers, but Iworry about retalitory feedback.

I understand your concern. I'd talk to the person who runs heat about it if the person leaves you neg feedback.

I'd also take a wait and see stance. Do give the seller the opportunity to make things right. Just don't wait forever.
