Edit: I signed up, and started a small website to track my progress. Follow along at http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~kaschmid

I came across a website that had some "Pay you to take surveys" sites listed, and I was looking at them, and I just thought I would ask if anybody here has any experience with these sites.

The one I found is http://www.surveyscout.com/ , and it claims to list hundreds of surveys from companies that will pay on average $10-$125 per survey. (+Focus groups, product trials, etc.)

The catch is, there is a $34.95, one-time sign up fee that will give you access to this list of surveys. They say there is a 90 day money back garauntee, but natually I am still questioning of it.

I thought I may sign up to see what they actually offer, as it seems that most people don't have any first hand experience with these types of sites (as most people assume it's a scam.) I figure if worst comes to worst and they refuse a refund, I can dispute it with my credit card, but I wanted to see if anybody really did have any experience with this first.

Thanks in advance

PS - The poll is asking if you have joined a site which gathers/lists survey sites for you.

Edit: If you answered #1 to the poll, please also post where you joined, how much you got paid on average, details like that.

I do have a couple of surveys I participate in but I've NEVER had to pay anything to participate. One is Vividence, one is Staples, one is Neilsen, and another is Radar Research.........Neilsen and Vividence pay in Amazon GCs ranging from $10-$25; Staples pays in $$$'s off coupons; Radar pays in cash but their surveys are highly selective and hard to qualify for....but I did get a Bianchi B.U.S.S. single speed mountian bike from them for just doing an hour's worth of work online.....the bike was a retail bike and valued at around $650. I would be suspect of anything that requires you to pay first before getting the info........sounds like those "Get paid to stuff envelope at home" jobs that make you pay bucks up front.

That's why I am so curious to see if anybody has had experience with this type of site... You don't pay to take the surveys, you pay to get a large list of surveys which are supposedly screened of all the BS ones, and you are left with a list of surveys which are supposed to pay $10-125/survey. It sounds like a legitimate service, and I will probably try it out (see my first post), but it never hurts to see if it's been explored before.

I get this spam at least 20 times per day. Now tell me if it is legit.

See but again, it's merely the assumption that it is not legit. It may seem to be illigitimate based on their spam, as with most online things, but nobody has any first hand experience with it that I can find.

I'm not saying I am not extremely skeptical of it... I'm just trying to see if anybody has tried it and succeeded/failed personally.
