**POLL** One dozen or two dozen roses for the GF?

So, I found out her favourite roses (peachy pink) are around 60-80/dozen (CDN). Those are long stem (60-100cm)...
Or they're 40/dozen for medium stem (40 cm).

Think I should go with one dozen long? or two dozen medium? I dunno if there's gonna be a huge difference in just 20 cm, plus she'll have double the flowers...

Or do you think one dozen is enough either way - if so, should i just save $20 and get the mediums?

Save your $$$.

Buy her a single long stem for $8 and make her dinner.

Then ask her what she got you :p

Why do people waste their money on flowers that will be dead within a few days?

Well, I got my fiancee a dozen longstems with a little box of chocolate for ~$60(US) delivered.

Does that help?

hmm... not bad, but a dozen longstems is around 45/doz (CDN), and I think I can find some damned good chocolate for $35 after the US conversion. :) That's not bad tho, it's better than nothing..

Maybe you should go with the dozen longstems. They're beautiful.

And you know, you can hang flowers to dry and preserve them, so it's not like they have to be gone within the week. There are lots of uses for dried flowers.

That's what my gf said. :) She still likes getting an occasional flower, but doesn't really like bouquets. Works for me! :D

Then again, if she WANTS flowers, get her flowers.

sunrise over lake ontario
sushi buffet (her fav)
photos in the rich part of the city
spa in the afternoon
make her dinner

ya. i'm pretty screwed.... :p

oh right, i forgot the bottle of alizee, with a side of absolut and cranberry juice.... chick's drink, but whatever...

DO NOT waste your money on a dozen or more roses that will be dead in less than a week. If you're going to spend that kind of money, buy her a Vermont Teddy Bear. Believe me, this is a surefire way to get laid on Valentines Day. It's never failed me yet. My GF loved the ones I got her last VT Day, and one for her birthday and Christmas.

hmm. aside from winnie the pooh, she dislikes all other bears. something about how they're just generic... good idea, know if i can get one for winnie the pooh?

Something that's lovely to look at,sweet smelling and reminds you of the promise of spring soon coming is never a "waste of money"

You know,when I buy gifts for a man I take great care to buy something HE wants,not what I want.Is it really that difficult for guys to do the same for women?

Roses are such a rip off in February. Save your money and get them for her next month.

pooh sucks get her a Gund Bear, they are drfinitly not generic, if you can find a Gund Snuff or Shuffels get one of them, they are teh best,

I'm sure The Disney Store has Pooh Bears too if there's one in his local shopping mall. At least it's guarenteed to be there by Saturday. ;)

If she likes Pooh, then getting her a Pooh definately isn't generic. He'll be getting her something she'll like.
