Poll on your use of the forum for PC gaming sales

I'd like to get opinions on how you use the forums for PC gaming sales, on which sub-forums you read.

This is strictly opinions. The reason I'm asking is, there is a years-long history of posting PC gaming sales in the PC gaming forum - see the steam and gog sale threads currently - and the thread I posted about a Blizzard sale was moved to the 'hot deals' forum. It makes sense there's a question where it belongs; personally, I think I don't look at the hot deals forum once in a year, so I wouldn't see any such sale threads.

I'm wondering if that's typical; and if it is, I'd send the poll results to the mods to consider on the policy.

I was kinda surprised to see your thread get moved. I tend to agree it belongs in PC Gaming.

I actually prefer to discuss games on the gaming forum. But sales are nice too.

If this is a thread talking about something like the steam summer sale, it should 1000% be in the PC Gaming forum. If its a thread of somebody selling their own copy, it should be elsewhere.

Ya, I'm talking about sales by sites that sale games, not individual sellers.

That'd be another topic.

PC Games sales (Website/Store based) in the PC Gaming subsection is perfect, personal sales not so much. I rarely visit the hot deals section as this is a (mostly) US centric site and I am not in the US so most of it wouldn't apply much to me.

For what it is worth, when I post "free" game deals, I use the Hot Deals section instead of here.
I much rather have the ability to use "soft links", so, we could post it in both sections, so it would make the thread appear in both places, but, all the talk is in the main thread.
Would make life easier.

I didn't know you posted them there. I always looked here for your posts on free games. Guess I missed out on a lot of free games.

I used to post in both sections, but I forgot who told me to stop that.
