I use 2k on my main compy, XP Home on the laptop since that's what it came with.

I might upgrade to XP but it's expensive. There's nothing out there that I really want that won't run on 2k. Certainly nothing worth a $200+ investment in an operating system.

I tried to get a 3.1 system up and running using Calmira and some other neat programs. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to connect to my ISP via Dialup. I switched modems, changed settings, downloaded all sorts of programs, but none of it worked. I'd watch it connect and then start receiving what looked to be gibberish. Really annoying. I finally gave up and installed 95. Though that might not have been a wise decision.

People will use 3.1 for kicks. And you have to admit it starts up faster than 2k or XP. ;)

As long as you only use FAT, not FAT32. Meaning you need to make a separate partition every 4(?) gigs. So as long as you don't mind having drives C:-Z:, sure, why not?

Win2k Pro on home pc and laptop pc.

It works for me and I see no point in upgrading to WinXP Pro.
