Well lets see, I was 11 at the time. That would put me in 6th grade.
I say about the same in day to day life.
I think the media and religous zealots put such a horrible spin on things its difficult to get a straight answer anymore.

prejudices and discrimination continue to decrease in prevalence. social progress is inexorable, if impossibly slow at times. society is more moral than 15 years ago.
