If you had a choice, would you rather live in a nicer place but give up some luxuries, such as eating out at restaurants, cutting edge technology, etc.... or, live in a crappier place with all of the food, tech, etc. that you want?

its much easier to find bargain furnishings that are nice, than it is to find homes that are nice and cheap

crappy place might be in a bad neighborhood. so if you have nice stuff, it might get stolen. then you're stuck with crappy place, no stuff.

When we say crappy are we talking about being in a ghetto neighborhood or are we talking about the size of the house?

I would much rather live in a small house and have nice possessions.

I'd go with Regular/Regular myself. I wouldn't buy a nice place if I couldn't afford to furnish it, and I wouldn't buy good stuff in a bad neighborhood to get stolen.

Nice place crappy stuff - if you are buying. RE investing is where it is at.

Personally I think fancy tables, eating at restaurants, and such is all a waste of money anyways so I'll pick nice place with not too much stuff.

I chose nice place with no car when I moved to Los Angeles versus cheap rent in a crappy area.

Nice place first. Fill it with nice stuff a little at a time. Otherwise, you constantly blow your money on nice stuff in your crap place and you're stuck there.

Crappy place, if its in a good area, not surrounded by the Ghetto or PJ's... can always renovate the crappy place if again not surrounded by ghettos.

"Good place / Crappy stuff" because having too much "good stuff" is a waste of money.

Nice stuff. Just go to someone else's nice house and be The Man with all your nice stuff. ;)
