self-explanatory really... ive always been a netscape guy but with IE6 being included in just about every microsoft software (winxp, officexp) its kinda hard to stay away from... id like to think that netscape is still king though...

sigh, this has been done to death.

Also look at webreference.com where in the stats section....

OP 0.86%
NS 8.47%
IE 81.78%

I've been going there for a year now, and the page always displays over 80% in favor of IE

Does netscape still loads as slow as before, or does it loads as fast as IE 5.5-6?.

Internet Explorer canes Netscape in terms of speed and rendering accuracy. I wouldn't touch Netscape with a 20 foot pole.

NS 6.2 here. Loads up fast(IMO), and displays pages faster than IE5.5(haven't tried IE6).

netscape 6.1 and 6.2 load pages slow. they are beautiful and with opera make up the best
ie alternatives anywhere. i think i've covered all the bases ;)

Does Netscape still crash a lot at random like it did under the 4.xx versions? I've been using nothing but IE since then.

I did not have many problems with 6.1 beta for Mac OS X. I havent really used it much for Windows though. The little bit I have used it it seemed more stable and usable than 4.x

I like Netscape 6.2 in both Windows and Linux. It seems faster to me on my machine and I have tried IE 6 but I really don't see a speed differrence when compared to IE 5.5 but that's just my own personal experince. Personally I use Mozilla though a lot more then NS 6.2 or IE.

P.S. MOZILLA 0.96 IS OUT!!! :D

<< Opera is not free, like NS or IE, right? >>

Opera does have a free mode where you surf without paying anything to www.opera.com as long as you bear with an ad. That is OK I mean.
