Thinking of getting a new graphics card. With my budget, I am thinking of getting a GF2 Ti card. Please vote and state your reasons on why you think that's the better card. Thanks.

I am leaning towards the Elsa because of the cheaper price but I wasn't completely satisfied with my previous Elsa card. The pic quality was kinda bright and blurry. Maybe it was just that particular card. What do you guys think?

Just curious, what is RM, your unit of currency? I noticed you're from Malaysia, and I have no clue what they use for moneys over there.

Voted for Elsa since they are a nice company and it's the cheapest so it'll save you money. Although if you want to dish out the extra cash, go for the Leadtek.

Ringgit (RM) is the unit of currency of Malaysia, it's also sometimes called the Malaysian Dollar btw!

Bump for more votes.

Hmm.. there seem to be more votes for Leadtek. Why is that so?

How about including an almost break the bank and go with a GF3 Ti200 card?

Well.. GeForce 3 Ti200 is still quite expensive here in Malaysia. Prices range from RM850-1000 depending on what brand and features it comes with.

You could get the oem 8500 and flash it to a retail with some program that is around and you will have a "retail" 8500. Not really sure were to get the program though.

Well, I am seriously considering the OEM Radeon but I am worried about the quality of the components on the card. Also, how compatible is the Radeon 8500 with games?

Well.. I listened to the poll and went with the Leadtek.. Got a good price too. Only RM390 (US$102). To my surprise, the card came with 4ns memory. At least I think that's the speed coz the last 2 numbers on the chip states 40.

Ive got a Leadtek Geforce 2 Ti w/ 64mb ddr as well. Here in Canada Geforce 3 prices are also too high still to make it reasonable.
That said, I am extremely impressed with the card's performance so far. It's sitting in a decent rig (p4, i850chipset) and I am able to play all of my games with everything maxed out. No hitches at all.
I loaded up RtCW last night and nearly had an orgasm it looked and played so well.
Good choice!
