yeah, but once you mate the tranny freely spinning at 110 to the flywheel that motor gonna go to 14K and go boom.

True that. Fuel cutoff only does so much.
If I ever blow a motor, I'm hoping it'll be something with a little more mustard than a botched shift. Overzealous application of forced induction and nitrous oxide, now there's a story.
