Logitech Wheel Mouse (using ps/2 not usb). nice, simple, effective.

If gaming wasn't involved, i'd say cordless wheel mouse. but the 40hz sampling rate isn't adjustable and i hate playing FPS games with sampling rates less than 80hz.

Muerto- I was wondering the same thing myself.

Right now I am on a Mouseman wheel or whatever, I forget the name. It is the one that is not the usual shape of the mouse and has grey padding on the sides. I love this mouse. The shape is the best part about it and that is why I have the laser mouse that is all blue with a blue light and is shaped the same made my Logitech. It should be quite as good if not better.

What's all this about cordless mice not being good for gaming? I was thinking of getting one, but now I might change my mind. What does the Hz rating mean?

How many times the mouse samples (detects the movement of) the ball per second. So if the mouse was 40Hz, it would translate into 40 movements per second.

Yeah... where's the poll ?

anyway, the one that I love most is MS Intellimouse Optical. No mouse pad, I can wonder with my mouse anywhere I want to. The side button is my life. Can't live without it.

I love the old intellimouse as well, but the lack of the side buttons kills me now. I can't live without the extra buttons now :)

Currently have the Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical. Very nice feel, lefties and righties can use it, which is a main reason I got it. I might get the Logitech Mouseman Optical for me though, since it's extremely comfortable to me. :)
That and I want one of those Surface 1030 mousepads..

Best mouse is that i`ve used is the explorer. Got two of them actually. I also have an aopen wheel mouse which rocks but I love the back and foward bottoms. The intelli mouse cordless just plain sucks, really bad even in web browsing.

I have known two people with Intellimouse explorer laser mice and they both died well within 6 months!

Edit: hey! where's the poll?

What's a laser mouse? Sounds pretty cool.
Maybe the lasers killed the people? High energy lasers might do that to you...

I know of some optical mice...they use red LEDs but no lasers....but I don't think those could kill people.... ;)
