Poll: Most Say Stars Make Poor Role Models

you never know. maybe we should all pack our tourist-sticker laden wooden suitcases and leave our dusty, small towns and hop on that aging Greyhound full of geriatrics, some who will know us and love us as children of their own by the time the bus reaches LA... leave our bachelor pads every morning bright and early to visit numerous talent agencies as we try to make our big break...

wait a minute that's the script for Showgirls. ok forget it.

I dunno.
I think converting hydrogen into helium is an important ability for a role model to have. Children don't do near enough of that these days.

who cares about what winona ryder did in 2002? do they have to mention her shoplifting ordeal everyday? seriously...

paris hilton is an awful role model. i bet she's marrying latsis for his money (his net worth is 7.5 billion, while hers is 775 million) -- but he, too, is a thick skulled moron to actually fall in love with her. /side rant

i'm betting that movie sales are plummeting for other reasons than for the fact that stars are bad role models:
1. most of the newer movies suck
2. the internet is a nice place.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single star that makes a good role model.

Clint Eastwood. I'm sure not everyone agrees, but ever since I was a little boy I wanted to be just like him.

Tom Selleck, as well.

From what I've heard, Keanu Reeves is actually a pretty good guy, despite his acting ability.
