Spoiler means don't read this if you haven't seen the movie and don't want the plot spoiled.

I kinda liked it. Was slow, but the *almost* scientific accuracy is what I liked best.

If you wish to nitpick, when their ships engines exploded and broke off, it was extremely unlikely that the ship was going anywhere near the speed of the orbiter.
People jumping into space and connecting to another body is unlikely. (although they made up somewhat by having the person bounce off because he was coming in too hot)
If you remember they couldn't even get the ships attitude right with the thrusters, so they would no less be able to almost match the speed of the orbiter.

Second is the stupid martians. A giant impact caused Mars to be uninhabitable, but they did escape in ships.

100s of millions of years ago, they supposedly "seeded" the earth with DNA, and therefore the real start of life on this planet.
[*]If they had the technology for interstellar travel, why couldn't they avert the impending impact and disaster?
[*]Why did they just "seed" the Earth. They should have just come live here.
[*]Why were the few people hanging out in one place in the face for 100's of millions of years... Just waiting for us to come there and say. "Haw haw, look what we did. We are your momma and poppa."

I created a poll too. Just curious.

Awwww, but I'm to lazy to type!...oh OK.
I thought it was a really cool movie over all, but there were some 'stupid' parts...which I can't remember fully enough to describe :)

Gary Sinease (no idea how his name is spelt) is a really good actor, I like all of his movies.

I thought it was cool but it lacked in something. What--I don't know. But definitely something.

I totally hated it. It was too slow at the start firstly. The music was awful also. I saw it a while ago in the theatres, if I would ever dare to see it again, I would remember the 10+ reasons why I hated it.

The weird part is that it assumes NASA will exist in 20 years. Even if it DOES exist then, it won't have enough money to go to Mars. Damn government.

Overall I liked the movie, mostly because it had some great ideas.
It could have been a great flick if they had developed the plot and characters. Also it looked cheap at times.

I thought it was "fair". A bit silly but watchable.

As far a "seeding" the earth with DNA, perhaps it was not yet habitable for the Martians.

As far as another flaw, the Martian machine showed earth's life developing. Were they watching?

Also, in 100 million years the ex-Martians must have also evolved and would be pretty disappointed with the sorry state of man when he got there. They would have probably forgot about the ship from their ancient history (if they even still existed).
