Nothing like glass if you can get it. Still to this day we have a milkman in my hometown, comes 3 days a week and takes requests. Delivers milk in glass containers.

Milk in plastic tastes plastic IMO.

The taste of milk in tetra paks is too cooked for my tastes. Soy milk does not taste like milk to me.

Preach. If I'm feeling ambitious enough to get up in the morning, I can get it straight from the teat at a farm in the next town over.

i dunno, it **seems** like those plastic one gallon ones cost less than tetrapak (a twin one-gallon cost less than 5 bucks here in Cali)....

i never bought paper ones in US for some reason.

Who was it who decided that it's perfectly ok to drink the fluid that comes from cow udders, but that at the same time it's not ok to drink pasteurized human milk?

Box (from Costco) makes 40 quarts.

I feed it to my powdered cats.

Dunno, for some reason, that made me laugh.. a lot.

Oh, and Powdered milk is quite disgusting.

eh.. Soy milk doesen't and isn't supposed to taste like milk. :p

It's vanilla flavor, not cow. ;) Seriously. Even though I like milk.. after drinking soy milk for a while, when you drink cows milk.. it's like, "Wow.. that tastes like cow." But after the first glass, you don't notice it anymore.. heh.

It's just an alternative to milk. If you drink soy milk expecting it to taste like normal milk, of course you're going to be disappointed.

Wow it's been 30 years since we had that here. :( I used to get in trouble as a kid for keeping various creatures I would come home with in the milk box. And you are correct cold milk from a glass bottle beats all other.

I use the powed stuff. I only use milk for cooking things and got tired of throwing away 90% of the milk I bought. I can't tell any difference in the food.

I drink the regular (red carton) or Enhanced Silk soy milk. You get used to it pretty quick. I don't even noticed it anymore. I only drink milk with cereal though. Vanilla tasted too sweet, and I noticed they now have a Very Vanilla. Yuk. I wanna try the unsweetened but haven't seen it anywhere.

Cow's milk is meant for cows.

We buy bulk quantities of milk in 4L plastic jugs.

We go through about 30L of milk a week.

I assume you don't eat cheese either. The human race have been drinking milk for thousands of years.
