Ride the Lightning = Decent
And Justice For All = GREAT ALBUM, SH!TTY ENGINEERING
Black = PWN
Load = Damn nice. Very thoughtful.
ReLoad = Almost as good as Load. A lot deeper.
Garage Inc. = Excellent.
S&M = GODLIKE. BEST LIVE ALBUM IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND
St. Anger = WTF?!?!? DIAF. I couldn't even pirate this one.
 
While they're not my absolute favorite, what limited amount of music I've heard from them has been good IMHO (except for the new stuff). 🙂

first of all, it's Whiskey in the jar-o," not "gyro," and secondly, that song is a cover of a Thin Lizzy song, which rocks hard.

Oh, and while Newsted may have a great guy, neither him nor Trujillo can even hold a candle to Cliff Burton. That man was a machine on the bass, and wrote the best riffs ever. His death was the single most pivotal event in Metallica's career and is what started them on their downfall. If Cliff were still alive, I have no doubt that would still be writing music like RtL and MoP.

The only song I like off the new album is Invisible Kid. The rest sounds like it was composed by a schizophrenic. Fast, slow, medium, slow--FAST--medium.... sloooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... FAST! It's too much for me, and I'm ADD!

Of course its not my song. The Whiskey in the Jar I was talking about, is the Thin Lizzy version, which Metallica did a cover of. You cant argue with Phil Lynott. 😛
 
Like pretty much everyone else, I like their old stuff and don't like their new stuff. I've never heard them live, so I can't comment on that.

But I absolutely cannot believe that you left out Master of Puppets. 😛

Why exactly do you think AJFA has sh!tty engineering? It was done by the same dude as RTL and MOP.
