the reason i ask it because mbm does work on my board fine and it is what i have always used in the past. then speedfan came out and it seems like everybody uses it now, just wondering if it was that much better?

I've never been able to find a program (or even a *nix desklet) that'll work on my dell. No support for the 4550. =[

bob, if it still supports your motherboard, use it. Most people only switched to speedfan because they bought newer motherboards. I miss mbm5
