I'm getting the regular theatrical tomorrow, and then the extended edition when it comes out in November. When I get the extended edition, I'll just give my theatrical edition to the in-laws.

I bought my copy from Blockbuster because I thought I get 7 free rentals, but it turns out I get a free rental for each of the next 7 weeks or something that's not nearly as convinient as what I thought it was.... Oh well. :brokenheart:

I'm waiting for the extended release. I bought both for the first one, but found that it wasn't worth it.

I asked two palces at the mall today during lunch. One places (Suncoast I think) said not until after Christmas. One other place said September. I'm betting on the November timeframe or so.

It's not just a 4 disc set. If you havent seen one of the extended versions that are out, you're missing out.

I bought the theatrical version of the first 2.. and have not even seen the extended version of either.

As such, I'm hoping there is a extended version box set coming (anyone know?).. if so, I'll wait and buy that.

I saw the first movie and have since had no desire to see the other two.

i wont buy until the super awesome 12+ disc set comes out in the future, with all 3 movies and their 4 discs each in a pretty box...i bought the first ones collcter set as a sucker, and figured if im going to own them all..ill just get whatever super set they come out with later

I'll get it when the previewed version comes out at Blockbuster and save myself some money. I'm not interested in the extended super duper versions of any of them.

If you haven't seen the EXTRA stuff on the 4 disc sets, you don't know wha tyou're missing. I'd almost rather watch the extras than watch the movie. They are filled with so much information that it's mesmorizing. I can sit there literally for hours and watch al the documentary stuff.

missing out is one of the understatements of the year... the 4 disk sets of this trilogy honk the horn, drive the buss, ring the bell and take their theatrical release versions to school AND back home to mommy
