That sounds pretty cool :) I know for certain that I could put that money to use.

I'm not gonna complain. But I'd rather have a solution that's better long term wise rather than a one time reward.

$300 is nothing. Doing the math that is only ~45Billion tax cut. Lieberman should be ashamed of trying to keep all of our money like this(this goes for the rest of the bunch in DC as well).

It is a nice way to get 300.00 but it wont spur the economy. What is needed is a more stable work environment. 300.00 will buy a family of 3 groceries for 2-3 weeks and that is it. Then we have the same problem.

There are no quick fixes to this problem.... This has been years in the making and will take at least 1 year to fix (not patch).

I heard that $60 billion tax cut could add about 0.5 % to the growth rate, assuming the money is spent.

What's more important is that rates are lowered for the long-term as well. Otherwise people are likely to hold onto the cash or payoff existing debt. None of which is bad but won't stimulate the economy as desired.

An extra $300 would just about cover the taxes that I owe this year, with enough left over to buy a Coke... In other words, it's totally useless. :disgust:
