Depends.

If you want to go with blue colors/mods; go with the silver.

If you're after a reddish theme, go with the black.

If you don't plan on modifying it at all, go with whatever color suits your fancy.
 
Silver advantages=Easy to match external mods, chrome levers on switches, chrome or
stainless screw heads, aluminum trim pieces in buffed or finely wet sanded and external
damage does not stand out.

Silver disadvantages=opticals are very hard to find that all match because there are many shades of white.
Using black opticals can look OK but that is a matter of taste.

Black advantages=Black opticals only come in one shade of black.
I think white opticals look good in a black case but not blasck opticals in a silver case.
But once again it's a matter of taste.
Black cases boost CPU and VGA performance 10% or so I'm told 😉

Black disadvantages=Any nick shows silver, dust and finger prints stand out.


I have two silver Lian Li mid-towers. At the present, my next case will be black and not Lian Li because it only comes in black. It is not in the States yet so I'll keep it a secret for now. It's 4 months away.

I have 3, 2 Silver, 1 Blk. I like contrast, maybe its easier to find in the dark, the silver and the blk during daytime.
